The upcoming edition of Euroanaesthesia in Barcelona will be invigorated with a brand-new concept that will give participants insights into specific topics of the scientific programme. The first Patient Safety Integrated Learning Track (ILT) will introduce participants with a multidimensional approach to different aspects of patient safety.
From the holistic approach to the serious adverse event to the crisis management through the human factor training. This ILT will also offer participants the opportunity to learn and practice the basics for a system analysis after a video case patient safety incident.
The integrated learning tracks are active learning pathways combining different training methods on a similar topic to improve knowledge retention and provide an increase in educational value to Euroanaesthesia delegates.
This new concept has been developed by the ESA Scientific Committee, in collaboration with experts in Simulation, who have elaborated a multimethodological programme that includes 4 different types of sessions the participants must attend in order for the ILT to be validated:
– 1 plenary lecture
– 1 interactive session
– 1 high fidelity simulation session
– 1 procedural simulation session
