This course is an introduction to the statistical principles which form the basis for the design and analysis of clinical trials
The course is open to full ESA members who speak and write English fluently. This course is aimed at anaesthesiologists who may have some experience in the clinical research field and are willing to develop their skills. This course is for non-statisticians who are already working or wish to work in the field of clinical trials and who have had little or no experience in clinical trials statistics.
Learning by doing
The programme contains a series of lectures and workshops during which participants will apply the knowledge learned during lectures through practical exercises. Delegates should bring laptop computers with Excel and can use their own statistical software or the trial software that can be downloaded on-site. Delegates are also encouraged to bring their own data or queries.
The faculty will consist of experienced researchers who are also expert reviewers and editors and who will outline the standards expected for data analysis and reporting in mainstream scientific journals.
The Masterclass will be held from a Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 April 2020
