AIM 

This live Webinar will focus on the potential features which may have an influence on the development of chronic postoperative pain (CPP). A second focus will be surgical approaches, drugs like coanalgesics and techniques like nerve blocks to prevent its development.

AFTER TAKING PART 

This webinar will enable participants to …

  • Screen and detect risk factors for the development of CPP
  • Consider the benefit or disadvantages of different surgical approaches on the development of CPP
  • Estimate the value of nerve blocks and coanalgesics in the prevention of CPP
  • Plan preoperatively how to set up anaesthesia for patients in risk of developing persistent postoperative pain.
  • Develop an institutional standard operation procedure including all specialists and non-physicians necessary to prevent best the development of CPP
