Due to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the BCSAC 2020 cannot be held in Barcelona on 30 May – 1 June. ESA is looking into alternatives to postpone the course and candidates will be informed about the new date at the earliest.
The Basic and Clinical Science Anaesthesia Course (BcSAC) is intended as one of the tools suitable for the preparation of the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care by improving the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of different areas of basic and clinical sciences.
The course is an expansion of the well-established Basic Science Anaesthesia Course (BSAC) which has been successfully run since 2012 with the introduction of the clinical component in 2020.
The course will run in parallel to Euroanaesthesia 2020 in Barcelona between Friday afternoon 29th of May and Monday 1st of June 2020. Participants can attend the Inaugural Ceremonies and a number of industry-sponsored sessions during lunch breaks. However, they may not attend any other congress sessions.
Participants must attend the entire course in order to be able to sit the formative On-Line Assessment (OLA) and obtain the Certificate of Attendance with the CME Credits.
Registration and all course correspondence (including any course material) will be sent by electronic mail only. Each candidate must provide a valid and personal e-mail address. Candidates have to pre-register as onsite registration is not possible.
