ESA Supports World Restart a Heart Day

23 Aug 2018

On 16 October 2018, we will be celebrating the first ever World Restart a Heart (WRAH) initiative with events all around the world taking place on or around that date. The ESA is proud to support WRAH, helping to raise awareness about the first global initiative to increase public awareness and therefore the rates of bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for victims of cardiac arrest (www.ilcor.org/wrah/).

Anaesthesiologists – together with many other specialists, societies, healthcare providers, teachers and politicians – can save 100,000 additional lives every year in Europe, and more than 300,000 lives worldwide. This can be reached by increasing lay bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) rates.

All citizens of the world can save a life!
