The deadline for submissions of these proposals is 12 December 2019.

Doctors report babies suckling and grabbing ECG electrodes on mother's chest
Doctors writing in the latest edition of the European Journal of Anaesthesiology (the official journal of the European Society of Anaesthesiology) have reported the potential dangers of allowing skin-to-skin contact for mother and baby in the operating room, following a Caesarean section birth.

A relatively simple injection of air has proved successful in releasing a 7-year-old boy’s tongue that became entrapped in a juice bottle, says a letter published in the latest edition of the European Journal of Anaesthesiology (the official journal of the European Society of Anaesthesiology).

Born from the collaboration between ESA and the British Journal of Anaesthesia willing to enhance clinical practice in the field of Anaesthesia, this Grant will offer the unique possibility to provide its winner with a 100 000 euros budget. All projects, within the framework of Anaesthesia, will be taken into consideration.

We are proud to announce the newest app from the ESA. This new user-friendly ESA App on Perioperative VTE Prophylaxis is dedicated to physicians working in perioperative environnments and in surgical intensive care units.
