Postoperative Pulmonary Complications – Patients at risk, Protective Ventilation and Failure to Rescue. Date: 19 June 2018, Time: 18:00pm to 19:00pm

This live Webinar will focus on the issue of postoperative pulmonary complications, including prediction, appropriate respiratory support in all phases of anaesthesia to avoid them, and adequate postoperative care and monitoring to avoid failure to rescue.

After Taking Part

This webinar will enable anaesthesiologists to:

  • recognize the importance of postoperative pulmonary complications
  • identify patients at risk for those complications
  • know which ventilator settings are associated with pulmonary complications
  • develop strategies to minimize intraoperative respiratory dysfunction
  • choose ventilator settings that protect against those complications while not compromising circulation
  • identify factors that lead to reduced postoperative respiratory function during emergence of anaesthesia
  • treat those complications and develop monitoring strategies that may avoid failure to rescue
