(2) Part I reduced Fee

Candidates applying for the Part I examination in a country where the Part I examination is mandatory or has special recognition and who are registered in the national medical register of that country are entitled to a reduced Part I registration fee. For those candidates interested in this offer, the free ESA membership will start on 1 January of the year following the registration for the Part I examination (or the following year for candidates already member in that year). (3) Part II Fee

Any candidate applying for the Part II examination in 2017 will be charged the €495 first attempt fee, regardless of their previous records. This means that candidates who already sat the Part II before 2017 will still need to pay €495 for the first attempt in 2017 or later. In the event of a candidate failing the first attempt in 2017 or later, any subsequent attempts will be charged €295. Candidates should note that the overall cost of the Part II examination has been reduced as the Part II Completion Fee (€340) will not be charged for candidates passing the Part II examination in 2017 or later. Additionally, the former Part I Upgrade Fee which was applicable to Part II candidates who had been entitled to a Part I Reduced Fee will not apply as of 2017.

(4) Part II Completion Fee

The Part II Completion Fee will not apply to candidates passing their Part II examination in or after 2017.

The Part II Completion Fee only needs to be paid by candidates successful at the EDAIC Part II examination in or before 2016. Candidates unsuccessful at their Part II do not need to pay the Part II Completion Fee – this fee is only paid once. It is the second part of the EDAIC Part II fee and together with the Part II Application Fee, it covers all registration expenses for the EDAIC Part II examination.

Diplomas of candidates successful at the EDAIC Part II examination in or before 2016 can only be issued after payment of the Part II Completion Fee. The Part II Completion Fee includes a 1-year ESA membership for all successful Part II candidates who wish to benefit from this offer.
