The ESA

ESA Council

The Council consists of the members of the Board of Directors and the elected National Representatives of Personal Members in individual European countries.

Any European country (as defined by the World Health Organisation) with at least 25 Active/ Trainee Members or at least 10% of practicing anaesthesiologists in that country whichever is the smaller number shall be entitled to elect one representative to Council.

Elections for Council representatives take place every year when necessary.

Term of office is 3 years running, renewable once for a second term of office of 2 years.
