Cancellation and Refund rules of ESA services

1      Rules for memberships

Memberships cannot be cancelled and cannot be refunded.

2      Rules for Euroanaesthesia

2.1     User (delegate) cancellation of registration

  1. The User (delegate) can request, under exceptional circumstances, to cancel an order and obtain a refund for Euroanaesthesia registration, including related site event registrations made on the ESA Website, or on any registration website related to the ESA, before the pre-registration deadline. Requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

  1. The cancellation and refund of orders is at the discretion of the ESA. The ESA reserves the right to grant or refuse the refund of the registration fee.

  1. The justification of cancellation should be sent to info@esahq.org.

  1. If the cancellation is approved, 25% of the invoiced amount will be retained by the ESA as an administrative fee.

  1. Upon decease of the participant a full refund will be granted when suitable documentary evidence is produced to us in advance of the date of Euroanaesthesia.

  1. All costs incurred for transportation, accommodation etc. are not covered by the ESA if cancelled by the delegate.

2.2     Rules for the Focus Meeting

2.3     User (delegate) cancellation of registration

  1. The User (delegate) can request, under exceptional circumstances, to cancel an order and obtain a refund for the Focus Meeting registration, including related site event registrations made on the ESA Website, or on any registration website related to the ESA, until one day before the Focus Meeting starts. Requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

  1. The cancellation and refund of orders is at the discretion of the ESA. The ESA reserves the right to grant or refuse the refund of the registration fee.

  1. The justification of cancellation should be sent to info@esahq.org.

If the cancellation is approved, 25% of the invoiced amount will be retained by the ESA as an administrative fee.

2.4     Rules for Masterclasses

2.4.1     Participant cancellation

  1. The User (attendee) can request, under exceptional circumstances, to cancel an order and obtain a refund for the Masterclass. 

  1. The cancellation and refund of orders is at the discretion of the ESA.

  1. The justification of cancellation should be sent to “masterclass name@esahq.org”no later than 7 days before the start of the event.

  1. If the cancellation is approved, a 50€ administration fee will be deducted from the refund.

  1. Upon decease of the participant a full refund will be granted.

  1. Please be aware that all costs incurred for transportation, accommodation etc. are not covered by the ESA if cancelled by the attendee., 

2.4.2     ESA cancellation of the Masterclass

The Masterclass can be cancelled upon decision by the ESA (minimum 2 weeks before the Masterclass) if the ESA and its partners deem the cancellation advisable.

In the unlikely case of cancellation, the ESA will propose carry forwards or refunds when applicable.

2.5     Rules for Examinations (EDAIC Part I, Part II, ITA and OLA) 

2.5.1     Participant cancellation

  1. Registration for Part I, Part II and ITA can be cancelled with registration fee refunded, net of a € 50 administration fee, if the cancellation request is presented before the registration deadline.

  1. Refund requests for Part I, Part II and ITA after the registration deadline can only be granted under exceptional circumstances. Please send the official documents justifying your refund request to exam@esahq.orgno later than one month after the examination. The refund of the registration fee after the deadline is at the discretion of the ESA.

  1. OLA registration orders are not refundable.

  1. Upon decease of the registered candidate before the examination a full refund will be granted.

  1. All indirect costs incurred by the registration for EDAIC Part I such as transportation and accommodation are not covered by the ESA.

2.5.2     Examination cancelled by the ESA                                                                                                                                                  

The Examination can be cancelled by the ESA in case of Force Majeure if the ESA deems the cancellation necessary.

In the unlikely case of cancellation by the ESA, the ESA will propose refunds.
